Changing versioning scheme "just because" is neither a productive thing to spend our time on (including communicating the what and why). People will just think that KDE is on to something they don't understand. Not helpful. The point here is that 4.12 doesn't sound very attractive and doesn't bear any particular message. That's something we could fix, but let's wait for another 2 years first, and see where we're going.
