When it comes to the homepage, this makes sense. However, it wouldn't be a completely bad idea to see if the edu team can split what it does in two - the science and the edu part or something. I'm not advocating to actually split the team but at least the products and the webpage. Just going a little further than you proposed... Which I also support, btw.

In either case, it might also be valuable to ask the authors of RKWard et all to join kde-edu ;-)
