Minor tweaking along the way is ok, continually changing how we do things because we never thought it through and came to a consensus looks bad and confuses people. What are we going to do about that? Have we got somewhere since 4.5.1? Are we going to do the release announcement differently? If we do write it differently then it should be the 'right' differently this time. If we're not careful we will just stumble along for another few months until someone else points out that we're not making a lot of sense. Then we have another long thread of emails, getting everyone back up to speed on the issues we've discussed countless times until we all get bored with it, the thread peters out and we don't make a whole lot of progress.
