Some years ago the Mandrake TWiki had some pages about hardware known to work 
well with Linux.  The pages were frequently updated by users, and frequently 
read.  Naturally it also encourages readers to use the wiki more, :-)

With that experience, I'd be very happy to have a section that included PC 
vendors willing to install Linux, as well as peripherals information, on 
UserBase.
