Hi,

Probably most of you noticed the trend of economical terms like marketing,
promotion, monopoly getting misused. Its visible in FOSS
world<http://whilos.blogsite.org/?p=206>,
as well as in your personal life. Even KDE native terms, like Activity, got
bent by fellow developers.

My question, would it make any good to have a mini dictionary as starting
point, to make sure each of us is on the same page.

Are we, promo team, selling KDE, or not. Does marketing define only
traditional (boring) (press, TV) or Guerrilla Marketing also falls into this
term. Is a monopoly a company with
HHI<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herfindahl_index>above 2000, or any
company we don't like? Is it OK to discuss capitalism,
socialism, liberalism [any]ism, or any political/religion talks shall be
kept for your self. Especially when we have so many micro religions, like
favorite browsers, best Desktop Environment... :)

There are many schools talking about this area, and it could be hard to
agree on exact definitions, but at least basic clear guidelines with
do/don't list would be great.

Cheers,

Lukas
