Marketing gurus frequently saying* "bad press is better than no press"*. And
that's more or less true.
1) Nobody bothers to hate anything worthless and small. Thus even bad press
sends a signal to people - this is something.
2) It strengthens loyalty form current users/fans. If you see something you
believe "is not true", its very likely you are going to contradict and
defend your believes.
3) It informs future users a priori about possible issues. No
software/product is perfect, and expextect issues is less annoying then
unexpected

Try to do a little experiment with some *Fruit company fan*. Tell him/her
that fruitPhone does not support multitasking/ has privacy issues/ is
overpriced/does not support flash/whatever any reason and watch reaction. I
bet he/she will start defending this phone and in the end its likely he/she
will be even more proud about his device ("yeah, I did something to defend
my beliefs") as well as there is chance greater than 0, you will start to
agree with him.

*Don'f forget - human is just an politic animal.*

So the big question, if we could *credibly commit and deliver the idea of
Nikolaos* in reasonable quality (its easy to f**k up, but it might worth a
shot). KDE, at the current point, largely known only by geeks, and any
public exposure is more than welcome.

Having e.g. hates of nepomuk/akonadi in control we could show pros in
youtube on the sidebar (or any defense)

*p.s. There should 2 key no's: NOT be insulting and NOT be comparative
(a.k.a desktop war).*
