Might be a nice idea... I wonder if there are any legal implications (in the 
UK, until quite recently, contests could not require a purchase - there had to 
be a way to enter without parting with money). Probably also better to open it 
up to everyone who joined already?

Bernhard, re making it news, did you mean the contest to decide who gets the 
phone or Kontact Touch's success? Either (or both) have potential I think, 
though the Qt-apps contest happened a while ago...
