Hello KDE Promo Team,

We're still looking for somebody who will pull together information
and write about the 4.7 Release Parties.

What is needed:

*Send a questionnaire (suggestion below) by email to the people who
said that they would be having a Release Party (list attached), asking
that they return it within a few days.
     "We would like to know how your 4.7 Release Party went. Please
fill out the questionnaire and return it by 31 August, along
       with a good picture of your party if you have one. We will use
the responses to create a story at dot.kde.org. Thank you."
*Follow up with anyone who doesn't reply or to request more information.
*Write a draft story using what people send...interesting activities,
what cities/countries celebrated, what people said about the 4.7
release.
*Send the story and pictures to [email protected].
*The dot-editors will use what is sent, and ask questions if needed.
The story will be edited for spelling, put into correct English, and
published on the Dot...with your name as author if you wish (this is
not requred).

You don't have to write English all that well...organized, interesting
content is all that is required.
You don't have to worry about how it will look on the web.
You won't have to make up the words...the party organizers will
provide all that's needed.
It can be done in a short time.

Contributing to the KDE community is important to making KDE valuable
and available for many people. Please consider investing a few hours.

Questionnaire
Dot readers will want to know where the parties were, what people did
and what people said about Release 4.7. Here is a possible
questionnaire.

What is your name?
Where do you live (city, country)
Where was the 4.7 Release Party?
Who helped organize it?
What happened at the party? Was it just a get-together? Were there
presentations (and about what)?
How many people were there?

Please send pictures (It helps if the pictures are reduced to the size
that are published on the Dot--not more than 500 pixels wide)
