I usually have slashdot, osnews and hackernews comments under my radar.
In the past week, there have been 5 slashdot stories which had comments about 
KDE. 
Comments were all very very positive. I think after a few years, finally, KDE 
has got its fine reputation back.

Trolling will never go away completely. However, people are now mostly happy 
with KDE. 4.8 is a very great release and trolls will have hard time keeping 
up :)
