it's an iterative process of moving closer to "perfect" with each time we do 
another release. we'll never get to "perfect", but we can be closer than the 
last time ;) that said .. i don't think the past releases were bad at all. 
we've managed to get the platform/workspaces/apps communication pretty dang 
clear, we're nice and consistent with usage of terms, we aren't throwing "SC" 
around, the screenshots have been gorgeous and the text a pleasure to read.

this time around, we get to improve on that even more with the experience we 
now have. :)

yes; while some power users will find this interesting (geeks love looking 
under the hood, after all!) Platform release notes should have developers as 
their audience. this also means we can be a bit more technical in those 
sections, even though they still need to be accessible by journalists who will 
want to cover them.
