Yes, spreading the word on FOSS events in general is a good thing. It would 
also of course be very helpful to BE at those events - which is where a 
chicken-egg issue comes in as we have few people willing/able to volunteer 
at events in the US. Related to that are proper materials and things to 
promote KDE - as we afaik don't really have a way to have 'stuff' at events 
in the US in a way other than ad-hoc (requiring initiative & skills & 
efforts) or sending from Europe (expensive).
