Did you see the discussion abut the artwork recently? I would advise
not to use the new designs without a large agreement on whether these
are indeed suitable.
Else I would call for a vote in the eV, as I can imagine these mascots
to be quite cute for KDE-Edu, but personally I find them totally
unsuitable for everything that is used in a more grown up environment,
e.g KDE-PIM etc.

So far the decision on adopting these designs was taken by 2 people in
a forum vote that was mostly done outside of the scope of the general
KDE Community, as quite a few people have never actually seen them.
Personally I would really not want to see these mascots show up in
public communication without a broad consensus.
