Hi there. I have a few proposals for 4.12 (probably obvious to most but AFAIK never officially discussed): 1) Even though it wasn't originally meant to be a brand name, "Software Compilation" somewhat stuck, therefore I suggest we give "KDE Applications" (with capital A) the boot and use "Software Compilation" as brand name for the application bundle (de facto already the case with the blog posts announcing the 4.12 release schedule). 2) Keep the structure of the announcements intact but use "Education", "Entertainment", "Productivity" etc. as sections instead. 3) Demand from the app maintainers to write a very short summary (1-2 sentences) of the new features. 4) Pick a handful of these summaries and add them to the announcement. Use all for a lengthy Release Notes document in the Wiki. Markus _______________________________________________ This message is from the kde-promo mailing list.
