Just some thoughts about this. It's for sure good to ask others in KDE about what they think and if we should change a part of our communication. But on the other side in KDE it is like in most Free Software communities. The ones who do decide and mostly decide best as they know what they do. This means if the promo, marketing and design people here (and I don't really think that I'm one of them but I agree with you ;-) think that we should change part of it and your willing to work on it don't expect an ack from the wider KDE community. You're KDE as well and it's great that we don't have just tech-people in KDE but other people as well so yes, please do it. > From my POV - KDE's communication may be brilliant if you are technically > minded. So start small. I don't know if this fits the Hoover Dam comparison as I don't know if you can fix a big dam with small patches but in the end it's just a comparison. But don't expect from all the developers in KDE to know what how they want the communication about their products to be. Probably a survey could help here with some pre-formed questions and answers. But in the end it's really the design, promo and marketing people that know best their job as developers now best their job.
