Hello Fellow Promoers, We have the chance to participate in OpenExpo Europe 2019 (https:// openexpoeurope.com/).We have requested a booth and they said yes. This event is geared towards businesses in the IT sector. Most attendees are currently Spanish, but the international crowd is growing. We will be showing off Plasma and Plasma Mobile on several devices, as well as frameworks like Kirigami. In exchange for the booth, they want the usual: that we help them to divulge their event. We can do this at the same time we divulge our participation, so we don't have to publish anything that doesn't feel organic As the deadline for applying for booths ends on the 3rd of March, we have to move fast on this (surprise!) and I suggest we start pushing stuff out tomorrow morning. This action will contribute to the following Long Term Goals: "Contribute to help increase the number of software companies that use KDE frameworks as the basis for their UI-based applications" "Contribute to acquiring more sponsors" "Contribute to making KDE a household name be trying to make KDE, Plasma and some of KDE's more popular applications recognisable" "Help KDE become recognised as a provider of quality software and improve consumers' and businesses' awareness and positive perception of KDE products." "Helping get manufacturers preinstall KDE software on devices" etc. https://community.kde.org/Promo%27s_Long_Term_Goals My personal feeling is that there will be plenty of attendees that are not aware of our work, which means plenty of opportunities of advancing in some or all those areas. I will be creating a task on Phabricator to coordinate this event presently.
