Gwenview crashing on some .jpgs

For several years now, we have successfully used Gwenview to view
photos, and I can't recall having a problem with that until now. Whether
viewing scanned .jpg images or .jpgs taken with our old camera, a Konica
Minolta Dimage Z5, Gwenview worked well. I had no problems opening
photos as single files or viewing them in slideshows.

However, we recently got a new digital camera, an Olympus Stylus, and
for some reason, Gwenview is consistently crashing on certain files,
giving us this "KDE Crash Handler" message: The applicaton Gwenview
(gwenview) crashed and caused the signal 11 (SIGSEGV).

Here is the backtrace for one of the crashes:

System configuration startup check disabled.

I can open the same photo with ImageMagick and showFoto, but not
Gwenview (and, strangely enough, I can't open any photos taken with our
new camera using The GIMP). Any suggestions? Thanks!

Sue
