Dear All,
I have been trying to use Gwenview with a knoppix distribution
running fvwm. It seemed to work to begin with, but now gives an error
There was an error setting up inter-process communications for KDE. The
message returned by the system was:
Authentication Rejected, reason: none of the authentication protocols
specified are supported and host-based authentication failed
Please check that the "dcopserver" program is running!
gwenview then starts up but is very unstable and crashes, often wehn
changing directory with a similar error to above.
I have gwenview recently installed on another Knoppix system (apt-get)
which is more stable. Is there anyway of switching the inter-processing
system off, or is there a known thing I may have done to start causing this
error.
Many thanks for any help
regards
