I believe Nepomuk will be able to access the comments only in the case 
where you have Strigi indexing enabled (Strigi is responsible for 
extracting meta info from files). Since one may want to run Nepomuk 
without Strigi for performance reasons, it's not a good idea to rely on 
Strigi always running.
