I'm a linux newbie. Can someone here assist me with K3B? I have installed K3B 1.01 on my system which is running FC6 with KDE 3.5. I was successful with the installation of K3B by compiling the source code; however, I get the following error message when I launch the program:
"To enable Mp3 support, please install the MAD Mp3 decoding library as well as the K3b MAD Mp3 decoder plugin (the latter may already be installed but not functional due to the missing libmad)."
I spent 4 hours trying to "google" for a solution, but never found one that worked. I believe that I have MAD mp3 decoding library installed, but I'm not sure about the decoder plugin. I cannot seem to figure out what I need to do, since many solutions seem to be for other distros, not Fedora. Here is what I have installed that looks to me like the decoding library.
# yum list libmad*
Installed Packages
libmad.i386 0.15.1b-4.lvn6 installed
libmad-devel.i386 0.15.1b-4.lvn6 installed
I would really like to be able to create MP3 CDs on my shiny new linux box. I have verified that I _can_ play MP3 files perfectly on it. So the decoder is working, right?
I would really appreciate your help. Thank you!
