Hello people,

I found some references to this problem on the net, but no exact answer. I
thought maybe you can help.

Here it goes: my PC running PCLinuxOS 2007 crashed repeatedly in the last
couple of days. Didnt know why, but I thought that it had something to do
with the DVDR device. When I ejected a DVD (but not always) the computer
would stop responding.
Today, I burned a DVDRW, circa 4G. When K3B finished, it ejected the DVD and
the computer crashed again. After rebooting, I checked the /var/log/messages
and saw these messages printed just before the crash:

Jul 3 12:00:42 ypatia k3b: resmgr: communication failure: No such file or
directory

Jul 3 11:28:03 ypatia last message repeated 61 times
Jul 3 11:28:34 ypatia last message repeated 30 times

I started K3B again, and the message was repeated. I terminated the
application - the message stopped. Then I installed resmgr and started
resmgrd. But now, when I start K3B, I have a constant flow of messages of
this form (they never stop!):

Do you know anything about this? Is it safe to have all these messages
printed in my messages log repeatedly?

I am using K3B 1.0.1. These are elements from my dmesg, for your
