DVD to PSP in One (or Two) steps...

I currently rip a few TV DVDs that I own to AVIs and then run FFMPEG on each of the files to make them PSP MPEG4 files.  This is a two or three step process.  I was wondering if someone had any advice on how I could rip the DVD files right to MP4 PSP files (if I do not need the AVI files)?  Am I missing something in the GUI that would let me save the initial rip to PSP format?  Any help would be welcomed.
