Hi, I'd like to use cdrecord for burning DVDs with K3B instead of growisofs. I found no hint in the K3B documentation how to achive that. There is a note on the K3B Home Page that this should be possible with the svn trunk, but unfortunately I failed to compile the stuff - the Makefile.cvs is missing. I want to use cdrecord because growisofs seems to have trouble with my comuter. growisofs starts burning with full speed (16x Plextor PX 755A) but after some time, typically at writing 25% finished, the speed breaks down to 3x .. 4x or less and the buffer of the DVD recorder remains almost empty (~7%...10%). Fortunately, the DVD produced seems to be perfectly ok. Ok, my PC is not the newest and fastest in the world (5 year old Athlon XP2500 machine, good enough for me) but since I not seen this behavior with cdrecord - here burning at full speed works perfectly - I consider it as fast enough to burn DVDs at 16x. BTW, I am using cdrecord vom Jörg Schilling, not the broken version of my SuSe 10.3 distribution. What can I do make k3b use cdrecord and not growisofs?
