k3b not showing files

Until a few weeks ago k3b worked like a dream, now when I want to make a 
CD of photos I can't see the individual files in the directories.  I 
uninstalled k3b and reinstalled, but still doesn't do it.  I run 
Pclinuxos 2007 and installed k3b via synaptic package management.
