(Saluting) Hello Admiral,
   How are you trying to do this? Is this a copy of an exist disk or
are you starting with just ripped files?

   I have copied existing DVDs using the DVD Copy dialog and it's
always worked for me when the DVDs are single layer. I don't have a
dual layer drive to test with.
