254 error and others

Well, I think this is the right place to get support for k3b (if it is
not, please let me know). I have got problems burning cds (not dvds)
since a while, which made me very restricted. The problem is not with
k3b alone, but I prefer k3b because it gives clear debug information.

I tried to explain the problem in Ubuntu Forums (as I am an Ubuntu
user), please read the details here:
