Hi,
I tried to generate a bootable CD with K3B (I have to do a firmware
update of my hard disk using FreeDOS). I adjusted all the options I
wanted and when I pressed the "Burn" button I got this error message:
K3b::IsoImager
-----------------------
mkisofs print size result: 0 (0 bytes)
System
-----------------------
K3b Version: 1.69.0
KDE Version: 4.3.2 (KDE 4.3.2)
QT Version: 4.5.2
Kernel: 2.6.31-20-generic
Used versions
-----------------------
mkisofs: 1.1.9
mkisofs
-----------------------
/usr/bin/genisoimage: No such file or directory. Invalid node -
'/tmp/kde-beg/k3bDA4797.tmp'.
mkisofs calculate size command:
-----------------------
/usr/bin/genisoimage -gui -graft-points -print-size -quiet -volid
FreeDOS 1.0b -volset -appid K3B THE CD KREATOR (C) 1998-2009 SEBASTIAN
TRUEG -publisher -preparer -sysid LINUX -volset-size 1 -volset-seqno 1
-sort /tmp/kde-beg/k3bGf4797.tmp -rational-rock -hide-list
/tmp/kde-beg/k3bGs4797.tmp -joliet -joliet-long -hide-joliet-list
/tmp/kde-beg/k3bUT4797.tmp -no-cache-inodes -full-iso9660-filenames
-iso-level 3 -path-list /tmp/kde-beg/k3bYv4797.tmp -eltorito-boot
boot/isolinux.bin -no-emul-boot -boot-load-size 4 -boot-info-table
-eltorito-catalog boot/boot.catalog
I think there is something wrong with the options generated by K3B.
Burning works for non-bootable CDs.
Also: K3B doesn't allow you to change the path to the boot image. It
insists on putting everything into the directory "boot". That's not nice.
K3B version info:
K3b
Version 1.69.0
Unter KDE 4.3.2 (KDE 4.3.2)
It is not the Ubuntu version - I downloaded K3b from the K3b Web site
and compiled it on my own, because I have replaces buggy wodim with
cdrecord from Jörg Schily.
Best Regards,
Bernhard Gubanka
P.S. To get things done, I used mkisofs and cdrecord from Jörg Schily's
cdrtools on the command line. So the problem isn't urgent for me.
