Hi, I recently compiled and began using KDE 3.1 Alpha 1. Overall, it had a nice look and feel to it, but eventually I encountered some issues which made me revert back to 3.0.2. First off, KOrganizer was destroyed. The right-hand scrollbar was missing making it time consuming and cumbersome to navigate my calendar (monthly view) and all of my entries for the month of August were gone. The latter might have been a glitch somewhere (it is Alpha software after all) but the first became quite a problem. I searched the docs and options and couldn't find a way to turn the side scroll bar back on. Second, I had many usability problems regarding KWin. No matter how many times I "stored settings" on KMail's window, it would not open up to the same size/position I saved it as (perhaps due to the pop-up window that cleans up on exit). This became _very_ annoying. Saving settings was also a huge problem. Again with the KWin problem, Konsole started up with the "KDE Default" scheme opened regardless of what I saved as its settings. These are all minor glitches, but they effect KDE usability. I know its Alpha software, but I would hate to see all of these little annoyances make their way in to KDE 3.1. Keep up the good work! - Matt
