Hi Everybody.
I'm quite new with linux even though I have used RedHat and SuSE
distribution. The problem I always had problems compling programs because
there was never the right dependices for a program to compile.

First Problem

So I switched to Debian 3.0 Woody. I downloaded the first 4 CDs and tried to
install. I followed the instructions to the later. My first surprise was
that the whole OS is mainly text. But I entered the command STARTX. It tells
me that the available screens can not be loaded. I went there to check and
change the resolutions. But still nothing happened. I have GForce 2 MX
display card and I choose from the driver lis "nv". Any help?

Second Problem

How can I install KDE as my debian desktop once the above problem is
resolved.

Thanks.
