---------- Forwarded Message ---------- Subject: [kde-solaris] KDE3.0.1 ready for testing Date: Mon, 10 Jun 2002 22:25:32 +0200 From: Eva Brucherseifer <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Hi together, SUN made a U60 available to me for presentation during the german expo "Linuxtag" (http://www.linuxtag.org). Thanks to that, I was able to compile KDE3.0.1 and precompiled tar.gz's and pkg's are ready for download on http://download.kde.org The installation has been tested on the installation machine during the expo only, since I had to return the machine today. So the testing is up to you ;-) The packages were build on Solaris 8 using gcc-3.1 and binutils-2.12. There is a file named "BuildInstruction" which gives further details on how the packages were made. For installation please also read INSTALL. Please check, if the directory Solaris/Solaris8/ contains a directory named "buildsystem". If it doesn't, the server isn't up to date yet.
