Recurrence function in KOrganizer 4.2.4

It seems that when I schedule a To-Do that recurs on the first of every month 
in KOrganizer  42.24, the reminder only works on the *first* iteration.

I remember in Windoze Outlook,  you had to mark a recurrintg To-Do "completed"  
before it would schuedule the next iteration (and then issue the reminder at 
with the specified lead time).

However, in KOrganizer, the reminder works as expected the first time a 
recurring To-Do comes due, but not the *next* time it comes due (whether or 
not I mark the first time "completed" or not).

I think this is also true of recurring Appointments.

Is there something I'm missing, or is this just a bug?
