Odd kmail toolbar behavior

Hi, all,

On my kmail toolbar, "Previous", "Next", and "Mark Thread as Important" are 
greyed out and unusable.  Any ideas on how to fix this?

KMail 4.9.2 
Fedora 17 (64-bit)
