The tray icon seems to be visible when nepomuk desktop service is indexing 
files. If shows when files are changed or added to indexed directories.

So I suspect that if virtuoso-t goes bonkers while that icon is hidden, 
akonadi is misbehaving (as in reindexing a lot of data, otherwise it would NOT 
have to run for 10 minutes)

But I do not know if there are other things that could cause virtuoso-t to go 
mad :(
