Just tried at work, and I get: Akonadi Control: running Akonadi Server: running Akonadi Server Search Support: available (backend: Virtuoso) Without kmail running, my two akonadi_imap_resource processes are each consuming a chunk of cpu, other akonadi processes are quiet. With kmail started, akonadi/kmail/mysqld all peg the cpu (nepomuk stays quiet). Akonadiconsole shows all the load coming from the kmail2 process, which seems to be spinning around the folder list. Reading email takes 1-2 mins each. Exiting kmail doesn't seem to kill the process, it keeps spinning in the background, and requires killing.
