I see that this bug is being tracked in
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=325821, which has been marked as fixed.

If it is not too much work: would it be possible to supply the commit that is
supposed to fix this bug? I would like to try a patched 4.11.2-version[0] of
Kontact right now (4.11.3 has not been released yet as far as I can see and
Kubuntu has not released any new packages yet), as that would allow us to
continue with our pilot.

I have already tried these changes
(https://projects.kde.org/projects/kde/kdepim/repository/revisions/df8d1dd10bac726da81c762e7d307e7c7d0c47c5)
patched into a 4.11.2 Kontact, but that made the situation worse, not better:
The organiser now gets no response at all and the "copy" of the original
invitation still ends up in outbox, causing the "cannot send" message as the
sender is the same as the organiser - which is kind of the reverse of what it
should be...

If I was able to patch this bug out of the current Kontact, I would be able to
continue with the pilot we're running, so this would be extremely helpful for
us.

Thanks in advance,

Thomas

[0] I've already tried that approach with the two other bugs I reported that
you fixed and that worked very well
