But looking at Kontact only is sufficient? (Re-)building all of KDE would be 
far beyond the resources I have atm, but a full check-out of Kontact alone 
might be feasible. I'll have to dig in again as to how to do this - it's been 
quite a while since I've done something like that. Extracting the simple 
patches for the other two bugs and applying them to the existing Kubuntu 
package was rather straight forward and simple... :-}

Thanks for the heads-up - thought that will put me in an awkward position, as 
we need to roll out a new client soon due to e35 being so buggy and 
unreliable. <sigh>
