Hi Rainer,
copy from Libreoffice Calc and pasting it into a KMail editor actually does 
work. It requires that you enable Rich-Text for the mail, though (no table 
pasting to text only mails.

Font format and cell background will be copied, cell borders and widths will 
not, so you might need to reformat the table after pasting (by placing the 
cursor in the table and clicking the table icon from the tool bar).
