again my answer comes really late :-( This was a heavy week for me and I hope 
you appologize my ignorance.

Yes, that was actually the original idea about this list and yes, it was never 
clearly expressed. So the women.kde.org pages were then ment to be a platform 
to collect ressources for that.

A general enduser support list is definitly not, what we should do here. Once 
we'd start that, there were 95% men on this list asking questions about how 
to use this and that in KDE and no women again. I am actually mad at entering 
the #kde channel and having dumb users ask me somthing about kde only because 
I am a woman and because the others there are not answering...

On the other hand, I'd like to help other women to use KDE and to learn how to 
code/document/etc. Actually I don't see why we would need men on this list to 
do that. Also we don't always need anyone answering a question right away. 
Trying to find a solution together can also be very challanging. 

Here is a proposal for the list goals:
* KDE user support for women (only)
  This can be at very different levels, like "I upgraded KDE and the menu is 
now empty", "How do I configure Kmail" up to "I'd like to share desktops via 
VNC and this and that doesn't work - can anyone help?"
* QT/KDE coding/documentation/translation
  Here I can imagine questions like "Kxxx does this and that - is that a 
bug?", "How would I start a KDE project", "How do plugins work?", "Should I 
use the app linguist or rather kbabel to translate app xyz?"
* presentations of new members, so that we know, who else is on the list :-)

Offtopic then would be:
* extensive linux questions
* extensive discussions on women in the society

Personally I only want to talk with women about these topics (there are enough 
other lists, where I can talk with men ;-) and also I think, we don't need 
men to talk about it. Men don't bother me exactly (as long as they don't ask 
DAU question or even worse, wants us to paint emoticons...), but also it 
would make the focus of the list clear, to invite only women.

BTW, if you want, I can change the options for the membership list, so that 
all subscribers can see the list. So far I didn't do it due to privacy 
reasons... but I'd happily change it, if you want to.
