That's not Maven, that's Ant... Maven use that underneath. If it's just the source metrics you need, I can easily add them for you. > I know you > are a committer on Forrest...what is the goal of Forrest and Maven at Apache? Will they merge? Forrest and Maven will not merge... in fact Forrest has just been promoted to top level. IOW we will soon have http://forrest.apache.org/. This is what Maven (the project) does: "Maven is a Java project management and project comprehension tool. Maven is based on the concept of a project object model (POM) in that all the artifacts produced by Maven are a result of consulting a well defined model for your project. Builds, documentation, source metrics, and source cross-references are all controlled by your POM. " The Forrest PMC is: "charged with the creation and maintenance of open-source software for distribution at no charge to the public, with the purpose of generation of aggregated multi-channel documentation maintaining a separation of content and presentation." Forrest is about documentation, Maven is generically a project management and comprehension tool. BTW, ATM I'm adding a reports section to the Forrest output called ForrestDoc. -- Nicola Ken Barozzi [email protected] - verba volant, scripta manent - (discussions get forgotten, just code remains) --------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the new InstallShield X.
