Nick, In krysalis-version I am going to add a tool to "report an environment" -- command line and/or ant, so in future we can say "send us the output of ...". It ought report the version of JDK, the classloader (hierarchy)/classpath (if it can), and the version of everything it find. I have the tool already (most of it) I just need to formalize it for this "support"/"debugging" purpose. BTW: My guess isn't so much "not finding the jar" as "jar hell" ... i.e. the centipede shipped environment is clashing with the ant environment and/or user environment. That said, I don't know ant's "classloader hell" as well as you do. So it is not finding the needed jar. probably xalan or xerces or w3c.
