Ok, here is some background: Opps the background: Much as the environment's brute force searches have become a basis for the registry (it pre-populates) -- I was hoping to have a more subtle approach for resolving. In a more perfect world one would have a uniquely loadable version for each resource, kinda like a class for a classloader. As such, one ought be able to say "get me the version for X" and get it. That said, what you are attempting ought work. Looking at the code we do check the registry if the version isn't found as a stamp, or as a package. Hmm, you know -- I did a lot of work on manifest's recently, it may have been a bug in the pre-release you downloaded. What does an environment dump (from VersionTool) show? Could you send it? regards Adam ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email sponsored by: Free pre-built ASP.NET sites including Data Reports, E-commerce, Portals, and Forums are available now.
