I'm referring to the garbled text on the postcript output, in the
human-readable text below the barcode. I heard a while ago that there was a
fix for this in the cvs tree, and I've been waiting for it to be rolled into
a release.

sorry, but I don't know what problem you are referring to. Can you enlighten
me?

I'm in the process of preparing the Barcode4J 1.0final release. I thought I
might get it out in September, but it will take another 2 or 3 weeks. I've
still got some clean-up and documentation work to do.
