I see. What you're referring to is not a Barcode4J bug, but a bug in Apache FOP 0.20.5. Or rather, it's a missing feature in the PostScript transcoder. I can only offer to send you a special and inofficial (!) FOP snapshot that doesn't show this bug. Another plus point about this special build is that you can use a special FOP extension that generates the barcodes as EPS graphics instead of SVG, which speeds up rendering of barcodes considerably. Due to the current state of the FOP project, I'm afraid you can't expect a new release any time soon (within 4 months at least).
