Don't know anything about the App Generator, and haven't used Informix for 
years, but perhaps you could create a view to the detail table with an 
extra virtual concatenated field?

Hi All, 

In the Linkfields section in FourJ's Application Generator, I would like 
to know if it is possible to link 1 table column (datatype char(8)) to 3 
columns(fld1 char(2), fld2 char(2), fld3 char(4)) of another table?  It 
allows linking of 1 column to 2 of the 3 columns only.   

Is there any workaround? 

System info: 
        OS: SCO Openserver 5.0.5 
        Database: Informix 7.20 UD7 
        FourJ's Application Generator: 1.1.1.6
