Gerhard,

The links below will take you to Microsoft's website where you can
download the HELP files for Excel 4.0 Functions and WordBasic Functions
- which are essentially what's available to DDE.

Subject: [fourjs-users] DDE

Hello,

Since we intend to combine Windows-Office-products

(esp. Excel and Word) with FourJs over DDE much more,

I was looking for documentation - but there is hardly any.

What we already have are several basic commands

and some basic examples (open Excel/Word,

poke/peek some data or call a macro),

but it is a lot of work to find out functions in detail.

I cannot imagine that every FourJs - programmer

has to work that out for himself.

Why is there no better detailed explanation for DDE ?

We think that we and every other developer

could do a lot more with it in such a way as to enable us/them

to meet the growing demands of our customers.

We think DDE is a big plus for FourJs/Genero.

Why not use it better ?

We would be pleased if anyone helps us,

thanks in advance
