For Java, I do use NetBeans IDE. For Go language, Atom editor is
effectively an IDE.

For other stuff, jEdit and Midnight Commander with F-keys bound to scripts.

And now this latter solution works on PASE.

For the classic ILE languages I'd agree. For CL itself, SEU is still great,
for that matter.

For Java, Ruby, Python, etc. on the i RDi NOT NEEDED - NOT INVITED! :)

IMO, there's no way to justify doing java development directly on the i if
