(cross-posted again) Today, the two customer boxes have been behaving themselves with respect to our emulator, with my sessions staying up for hours at a time, instead of minutes or seconds, regardless of whether I was pounding on the session or ignoring it. The latest bit of information: at least one of them had been IPL'd one CPU short, and had been (and I quote straight from the source) ". . . pegged at 98-100% CPU all day." But that doesn't answer the question of why the IBM emulator and TN5250j were able to stay connected for hours, under those conditions, while our emulator's average connect time was measured in seconds. -- JHHL -- This is the Java Programming on and around the IBM i (JAVA400-L) mailing list To post a message email: [email protected] To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: https://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/java400-l or email: JAVA400-L-request-+hD5IHI5Xscn3HwCXmMcX9BPR1lH4CV8@public.gmane.org Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at https://archive.midrange.com/java400-l.
