Hi Alan, on 2004-01-28T18:26:02+01:00 you wrote: > Thank you very much for your detailed and accurate response to the > statements made by Mr. Haas Helen's response contain some mistakes and lies, I have wrote about this already. > I would also personally echo her wish that Mr. Haas try to find a > way to make a contribution to the real Project JEDI. This statement is a impertinence! "The real Project JEDI", rather, what some inactive members call as Project JEDI don't want any contribution of me. Can you explain in public, why all my try to contribute anything will be refused by JEDI Steering members? The existence of JEDI+ API is a consequence of the refusal of this team. I has found it therewith interested developer can contribute her work at least to the Delphi community. And I will continue my tries to contribute to JEDI Projects like JCL and JVCL, even JEDI Steering distribute furthermore lies and imputation against me. If JEDI Steering maintain his refusal I will find ways to contribute me work to the Delphi community, in case of need outside of this projects. Someday the real JEDI developer will realize the saboteurs of JEDI and dismiss they. Then the way is open to integrate JEDI+ in JEDI. Why JEDI Steering lie the community and himself about the real state of projects like e.g. JEDI API Library? : What is Project Delphi JEDI? : : Project JEDI Project JEDI is an international community of : Delphi/Kylix developers with a mission to exploit our pooled efforts, : experiences and resources to make Delphi and Kylix -- the greatest RAD : development tools for Windows and Linux -- even greater. At least this is a statement of the JEDI homepage. If this would be true, why JEDI fight against other developer? Currently your JEDI don't pool the resources, it delimit himself from other developers. I want to mention repeatedly, that JEDI+ API is a JEDI project. But even if not, why JEDI Steering don't admit, that its own API project is dead and acknowledge JEDI+ API as a equivalent project by setting a link from the JEDI homepage instead of create a new fassade to the dead project in rivalry? Why JEDI don't use the work of JEDI+ API instead of invent mendacious excuses, why the stuff can not be used? With other word, why is "The real Project JEDI" the focus and not the interest of any user to have a real good solution? The answer is simple. The currently JEDI Steering members don't have the primary the interest to perform the mission, mentioned above, they have primary the interest to increase her own reputation. This explain, why people like Helen Borrie as Web Team Coordinator and Rudy Velthius as API Conversions Coordinator can do nothing from importance for several years in JEDI and keep her position in JEDI Steering, which guaranteed to be mentioned by name in JEDI papers. This imbalance between the real, mostly nameless developers and the parasites, which take unjustified profit from whose work have some former JEDI developer anger and cause his leaving. I think you know some names. The question is not, how I can find a way to make a contribution to JEDI, because I do it already. The real question is, whether JEDI Steering can find out a way to integrate the offers from different developers to participate, instead to discourage other developers by debase her work or her person. Concrete JEDI Steering should eloign himself from the impertinent behavior of Mister Marquardt, instead to cover and reward him. He is direct responsible for non participation of several developers to JEDI. It is a intolerable state, if a open source project is conditioned from the fickle moods of a single member. Unfortunately other Steering members follow his bad example, how I can see in my mailbox. Personally I'm expect a truthful expression of regret from the relevant Steering members or consequences through JEDI Steering. And a serious discussion from JEDI Steering without lies, imputations and impertinent reproachs, like I have experience from JEDI Steering in the past. It is the decision of JEDI Steering what is happens in the future. You can choose between maintain your fight against me and other developer, acknowledge projects like JEDI+ API und benefit therefrom and a active participation of me in other JEDI projects in a really reformed Project JEDI, which is oriented on its active members and the user of its work.
