Re: What do you tell about Delphi 2005 and .NET

I just upgraded to 2005 Pro.

1)  Can someone tell me where to find a good beginner's explanation of the 
difference between Win32 and .NET?  I have Delphi code going back many 
years for Win32, so I'm trying to understand whether I should be moving my 
old code to .NET.  I.e., I don't want to put a lot more effort into writing 
Win32 if it's going to be obsolete in the near future.

Is .NET an entirely new API?

2)  Assuming I continue to write for Win32 and don't use .NET at this 
point, is there a way to install 2005 without .NET?  The installer refused 
to install 2005 without forcing me to install an enormous amount of .NET 
and other modern stuff as well.
