BTW, pay attention to the system requirments for Kylix.  WIthout a 
little hackery, Kylix typically wont run properly on modern Linux 
distros.  The newer threading models of kernel 2.6 cause Kylix grief, 
and you'll need to do a little hackery to get it working.  You may even 
find it flat out refuses to install.

Kylix development is effectively dead, and Kylix is some versions behind 
Delphi.  Kylix 3 was about on a level with Delphi6 IME.  Delphi 
components oocassionally have functionality that their Kylix 
counterparts lack.

Kylix is built around the CLX component hierarchy.  Delphi6 I believe 
could support CLX in addition to VCL.  If your code is reliant on VCL 
you may need to do a little refactoring.  Most components are broadly 
similar between VCL and CLX though.  You'll just need to change the 
'uses' clause to use the CLX rather than VCL files.  Typically the CLX 
counterpart of a VCL .pas file is prefixed with a Q.
