It's pretty complete actually -- it starts off with a guide to
programming with Pascal, and a little bit about how the Linux
system works, then moves on to an explanatiion of CLX. The third
section explains slightly more advanced stuff like FileIO, and in
particular threading and memory management under Linux. Finally parts 4
and 5 concentrate on web application and database development.

It is well laid out too in that you seldom need to wade through pages of
stuff that you are familiar with to get to the stuff you need.

I suspect even a comparitive programmign novice could easily get up and
runnign with this book, but there is surprisingly enough there that it
would useful to some even quite experienced coders.

The only thing that it lacked for me was information on how to get the
most out of Qt. Whilst it does go some way towards explaining how the
CLX layer interfaces with Qt, I still found myself having struggling to
understand teh C++ orientated Qt documentation. By and large though,
most people would seldom need to access Qt in the way that I do, so I
can see why they left it out....
